Adding upholstery and fabrics to furniture

My sister Jenny has gotten into sewing, fabrics and design. She started out absolutely working in a tiny shed making costumes for children and dresses for prom season. Then she extended into making fabrics to go over tables and even for a couch. Anyone who came over to her condo enjoyed the pieces. Then Jenny started getting orders for handmade upholstery work. All of us had no other option but to make our tiny shed into a workspace for my sister. Once the orders started pouring in quick, my sister got a website up boasting that she makes custom fabric pieces. Jenny does upholstery work on couches, chairs and can make rugs too if need be. How the process works is that someone calls Jenny or texts through the website. She then asks for dimensions, type of fabric, color and how quick of turn around they need. Then they get a price quote and she works all day on the project. My sister has really gotten quite good at her craft. I have been pushing her into extending even further in the business. My sister should pair with a woodworker. The guy can make bed frames and task on making custom sofas if he wants to. Then my sister can put the leather and upholstery on the finished pieces. Right now she wants to stick with her fabric line of business. But, overtime she might change her mind and go into the furniture line of business. At the rate custom made furniture pieces are going, she should think about it.
