I truthfully never watched a lot of TV when I was young, but i remember once asking if I could have a cable in our room and our father said there was no way I was going to get one ever.
I suppose it was because having a cable would be too expensive.
Even when I wanted to watch shows in the dining rooms from time to time, our father would get mad if I was using the cable because I was ‘wasting electricity’. I just ended up never watching TV… Also when I tried to adjust the temperature control settings a few times, I got into a lot of trouble for that, so I never messed with the temperature control settings any longer, then my mother was sympathetic and made sure I at least had a fan in our room so I could remain cool even though our father wasn’t a immense fan of that. I mainly would just go outside and play with friends and stay in our room and work on university work. It was a actually simple life for myself and others I suppose you could say, but these afternoons, our children all have TVs in their rooms and they are completely spoiled for the most part. I was never able to be legitimately strict like our father. It’s crazy, they watch all these commercials all the time too, so they are typically asking for something, then recently they saw this Heating, Ventilation and A/C commercial about Heating, Ventilation and A/C zone control. They loved the sound of it because they were typically fighting over the temperature control settings. I absolutely thought Heating, Ventilation and A/C zone control would be a good idea because nobody would fight over the temperature control settings anymore.
