What I wouldn’t provide for a full night’s rest these afternoons.
It seems that between my busy schedule plus the fact that there are constant noises in my apartment I can’t seem to get any rest.
I try to go to bed early but even the sound of the TV downstairs keeps me awake plus I can’t fall asleep easily well. Then there is the issue of the heat source that the two of us use in our lake house that wakes me up on an hourly basis. All of us have an old boiler in the basement it is nearly thirty years old plus it makes a loud clanking sound each time it turns on plus shuts off, but my wife insists that she has already bled the lines plus there is nothing that can be done about it but I have a solution that she does not ever want to hear about. I say that the two of us should update the boiler with a new 1 but she insists that it still works so it’s fine… She says she does not even hear the clanking noise plus that I should just learn to ignore it but it is strenuous to do when you are a light sleeper. She also tried to convince me that it should be a comforting sound because I think that the heat is on but that does not work for me either. I have tried to show him the research that indicates the two of us would save significantly on our energy cost if the two of us updated it with a newer model as well but so far I haven’t made any headway in convincing him of the change.
