I do not like the fact that almost every mode of business that I enter in to these days is completely impersonal.
It really just bums me out. There’s no more going to the guy at the garage that you like for a tune up and oil change. All that is so complicated now that we just have to end up going to see the dealer. I don’t even interact with anyone at the bank anymore, except for maybe a handful of times throughout the year. Everything is done online now and the lack of having someone you trust for a business relationship is a big misfortune in my opinion! The only one I know of now is my Heating plus Air Conditioning supplier that I do business with. Jeez, our own dentist doesn’t even spend more than 7 or 8 minutes examining my teeth whenever I see him now. At least with the Heating plus Air Conditioning dealer, we go way back plus we have a mutual history with each other. When I moved to the area nearly 15 years ago, I sought out a fantastic Heating plus Air Conditioning person to replace the Heating and Air Conditioning unit in our house. That old Heating plus Air Conditioning in our lake house was just the worst. When I bought the home, I thought I could get at least a year out of the current Heating plus Air Conditioning unit but boy, was I mistaken. So, I had to scramble to find someone I could trust in town, and I did. Back then, our Heating plus Air Conditioning guy was just starting out in his business and he was a one person operation. Yet he was so professional about Heating plus Air Conditioning that it made him an easy choice for me. Indeed, it’s been an easy choice to keep using him for our HVAC business relationship all these years.
