Some things are worth the money you have to pay for them

It seems as if the middle class position just keeps on slipping.

  • The amount that we have to work rises as the monetary remuneration for that work continues to dip down.

And I see the vise getting turned tighter on the vast majority of us. Meanwhile, while the rich continue building their wealth. I just wonder how long this cycle can sustain itself. Eventually, there are going to be some real violent consequences. Not that it’s not violent enough out there right now. I can remember my dad was back home with his feet up in the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C comfort by 5:30 every night after work. And he didn’t work more than 8 hours and weekends were out of the question for him. Plus this was a guy who was an executive and did honestly well for himself and his family. But I guess those times are gone. It’s finally getting to the point where I have had to take on a side job myself. And that’s a side job after my 55 hour per week regular job. See, if I don’t do this, my youngsters are not going to school and our typical way of living hits the fan. It does get harder to find ways to cut the household budget. Our cars are old, my son stopped playing hockey due to the expense and my wife buys her clothes at discount and thrift stores. This is all nice and well but, it seems a bit much considering how hard both of us work. I have attempted to trim other stuff from the budget. I easily take care of household projects now. No more calling the handyman for repairs. A yard service is also out of the question now. I just have to flog my son to get out there once a week. But, I am not giving up my Heating, Ventilation plus A/C comfort yet. I just won’t give it up. I refuse to sweat or freeze in my own home.
