Well, I got one for five dollars, so he can’t complain about that
I get myself in trouble when it comes to shopping. My husband and I went to a marriage conference a few years ago, and one of the sessions was on finances. They speaker mentioned that there is usually one spender and one saver in each relationship. I am definitely the spender in my husband’s and my marriage. It is not good. I tend to overspend, and I am super glad that my husband is a saver because it truly helps to balance me out. My husband is always getting on to me for shopping too much. I just can’t help myself. Well, I can, but it’s not easy. I love shopping at thrift stores, but I still end up going over budget even at second hand stores. My husband gets upset mostly because the things that I buy aren’t necessarily useful. He was not disappointed in my buys yesterday though. I found a really nice space heater for five dollars at a local thrift store. He had mentioned several times to me that we needed a space heater for our entrance area. It is closed in, but it is still really cold in the entryway, and he does not like walking into a cold entry area. I agreed with him that we needed a new space heater, but when I told him how much it would cost, he changed his mind. He said that he would rather just be cold than spend that much money on a space heater. Well, I got one for five dollars, so he can’t complain about that. I really like our new space heater. It works very well!
