I get myself in trouble when it comes to shopping, then my husband and I went to a marriage conference a few years ago, and one of the sessions was on finances; They speaker mentioned that there is usually one spender and one saver in each relationship, and i am legitimately the spender in our husband’s and our marriage.
It is not good.
I tend to overspend, and I am super blissful that our husband is a saver because it legitimately helps to balance myself and others out. My husband is always getting on to myself and others for shopping too much. I just can’t help myself. Well, I can, but it’s not easy. I enjoy shopping at thrift stores, but I still end up going over budget even at second hand stores. My husband gets frustrated mostly because the things that I buy aren’t necessarily useful, but he was not disappointed in our buys Last week though. I found a legitimately nice space oil furnace for five dollars at a local thrift store. He had mentioned multiple times to myself and others that both of us needed a space oil furnace for our entrance area. It is closed in, but it is still legitimately chilly in the bedroom, and he does not prefer walking into a chilly entry area. I agreed with him that both of us needed a new space heater, but when I told him how much it would cost, he changed his mind. He said that he would rather just be chilly than spend that much money on a space heater. Well, I got one for five dollars, so he can’t complain about that. I legitimately prefer our new space heater. It works very well!
