I needed my home office to feel more business like

I couldn’t imagine that I would feel the difference between the office I had downtown and the room in my home that I turned into an office.

I knew there were differences because I suddenly had to clean my own office.

The office downtown had perfectly maintained HVAC and I didn’t have this in my home office. I get easily distracted and working from home is making paying attention to work, quite difficult. If I turn the thermostat down, I have the ability to concentrate better. The cooler temperatures help me to concentrate. I can’t just sit at my desk all the time and not get distracted. There are also some changes, as in with my being home all the time, I have become a house husband. I enjoy taking care of the house, but I also enjoy doing my work. My wife and I have always worked and we have always shared the house work. I have now assumed the majority of the housework. I have decided that the only way I am going to make myself and others realize this is a real office setting, is to make the guest room more of an office. I got rid of everything in the room and I bought an office desk and chair. I bought everything I needed to make the room a real office setting. I even called the HVAC company so I could get a ductless HVAC in the room, and I wouldn’t need to bother everyone else with my cooler temps that are needed for me to concentrate.
