Avoid the HVAC warranty scare

There is a specific feeling that comes over me when I am just certain that I am not remembering something that is actually very important.

It’s more of a gut feeling than it is anything else.

I guess it’s really more of a gut and them sweat situation if the truth be told. The sensation starts with overactive butterflies in my stomach and gradually spins into flop sweat and near panic. Normally when this happens, there is indeed a huge fumble on my part for which I end up paying dearly. This happened just recently with the HVAC system. Our old heating and cooling unit just finally gave out. It provided terrific warmth and refreshing cool for just over 20 years. The longevity I chalk up to being on top of the semi annual HVAC maintenance every single year. Anyway, just months ago, we had a new heating and cooling unit installed in our home. This thing is so efficient it staggers my mind. The efficiency is equal to nearly twice what our old one was. The monthly utility bill is the proof. Well, I got to thinking the other day and realized that I had not registered the warranty with the manufacturer. Normally, most HVAC manufactures allow a 60 to 90 day period for registering the warranty. Failing to do so can end up voiding the entire warranty. I was in a panic thinking that I had missed the window. I found the toll free phone number and called to inquire. My wife had registered the warranty the day we had the HVAC installed.
