It is simply mind bending to wake up each morning to this current normal.

I remember when SARS happened because I was in an industry where I had to deal with travelers from all over on a bi-weekly basis. I remember wondering if the Heating plus A/C in the building I was in would help or hurt the situation. The physical plant manager tried to reassure me by pointing out that there were high grade Heating plus A/C filters throughout the space. These were helpful in creating air quality that would benefit my immune system. So, I focused on limiting my contact with people, making sure all the surfaces were cleaned throughout the day plus making sure my hands were washed often. This got me through just fine. However, this situation is much more intense given how incredibly contagious this virus is. Now, all of us are sealed up in our Heating plus A/C beach house plus I once again think about that Heating plus A/C conversation I had all those years ago. My beach house also has high grade HEPA filters for the Heating plus A/C. This does give me some feeling of security. But, I sure wish I had committed to installing a whole home whole-house air purifier. Those entirely kill the biological hazards in the air as they pass over high intensity ultraviolet light. Once this lockdown is over, I’m going for it. The Heating plus A/C folks in our section are only doing emergency repair right now. But, when this lets up, I’m going with whole home whole-house air purifier to give our immune systems the best chance at remaining healthy.
