I didn’t realize this entire time that I was using possibly the least energy efficient heating source that I had at our disposal.
Something had to supply when I realized I was behind on debit card payments plus facing increasing bills around the house. I never wanted to get this far behind, however the only recourse I had was to let 1 of our cards go to collections with the intent to negotiate a better payment plan in the near future. This gave myself and others a tiny bit of currency each month to handle our utilities. Of course this wasn’t enough, plus I was worrying within more than one months if I could ever afford our electricity bill again. I wish I could say that I struggle with energy problems because I turn on too several lights or run too several family room or laundry appliances. The truth is that most of our electricity bill consists of the energy expenses running the air conditioning system plus the electric oil furnace. Although I can get away with running our air conditioning system only a few times a month even in the summer time blaze, it’s the oil furnace that is the real culprit for our ridiculous energy costs. It’s so freezing here from September to May that I have no choice however to run our oil furnace to stay warm. When I l received that our condo already had a gas line that was functional, I decided that I would convert to gas powered heat plus see if i could get our energy expenses under control. Although I expected a change, I could have never anticipated the sizable savings in switching from electric heat to gas powered heat. I might really be able to afford all of our bills despite our meager income now that I have a modern gas oil furnace to use during the freezing season.
