Not all environments are as dusty as the next. There are a bunch of factors that play into this, both environmental plus human caused. Depending on the region in which you are living, you could have a good amount of dust around your dwelling, or even airborne sand if you live in a desert region. Mold spores in the air plus on the ground outdoors vary to essentially the same degree. Before even looking at human factors, you already have a good amount of fluctuation in what affects one section versus another. What makes all of this worse is when you combine these natural environmental irritants with construction work. You could have ceramic dust in the air if there is concrete being chopped nearby. Likewise, if trees are being chopped or wood dwellings being built, you could have a large amount of saw dust with whatever natural dust is going around. You can make this a whole lot worse within the confines of your dwelling by doing laundry more than the next man. Since our region is completely full of irritants, I use a whole-house air purifier to clean out most of our indoor air before it enters our HVAC appliance plus heads into the ductwork throughout the dwelling. I will often discover lots of particulate building up on the whole-house air purifier filters not too long after replacing them. It’s worth the hassle plus the expense, because my asthma setbacks have been knocked back substantially. I can’t really imagine living separate from a whole-house air purifier now that I’m so used to them. As long as I am able to afford to get plus replace the filters, I will use the HVAC machines until the end of time.
