Pets need indoor air comfort as much as humans

After doing some research, I tried everything the internet said

I have a cat named Gypsy. She is a rescue and she is super cuddly. Everytime I sit on the couch, she sits on my lap and shows her love. When it’s cold out, she will even go under the blankets like a human. It’s the middle of summer and I live in the South where it is very hot and humid outside. Recently, my central air conditioning system started acting up. I could tell something was off when I started sweating inside of my apartment. Gypsy sat on my lap and I felt extra hot because of her body heat in addition to my own. I went to check the thermostat and as I turned it down the air conditioning did not get any cooler. I called my friend who happens to be an HVAC technician. He was super busy and he didn’t answer his phone. I started to research what to do if your thermostat and central air conditioning aren’t working. It took me awhile to research and I kept sweating because of the heat in my apartment and my anxiety. I could tell Gypsy was uncomfortable at this point. Instead of sitting on my lap, she laid under a chair on the wood floor to cool down. At one point she even positioned her body near a fan to get some cool air. It’s amazing that pets need air conditioning the same way humans do. After doing some research, I tried everything the internet said. I changed my air conditioner filter, I turned the thermostat off and back on and then checked the breaker in the back of my apartment building. None of these steps worked but thankfully my friend called me back and told me he would be over shortly to fix my air conditioning!
