My lovely husband and I went on our honeymoon last year in the Caribbean, however the climate is extremely warm and humid there even in the winter, however most of our days were spent on the beach drinking frozen drinks at the pool.
- We didn’t spend much time in our hotel room, but it was important for us to believe comfortably in the room due to the fact that we spent a lot of currency on our trip.
The first night the a/c was working just fine. There was an a/c component unit near the window with a flexible thermostat. We didn’t think too much about it until the very next day when we opted to go up to the room to shower and get ready for some food. It was starting to feel as if the heat was turned on in the room & it was actually uncomfortable! After messing with the thermostat a bit, my hubby called the front desk & they told him a serviceman would be up soon to repair it. When the serviceman arrived, he explained that the style of a/c component in our room was called a Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner which heats individual rooms so it is bizarre from central a/c units. He told us that there was a leak in the a/c component unit that he needed to repair for it to task respectfully & cool our hotel room effectively. The front desk concierge gave us a fresh room so we could get ready for our brunch & supply the hotel Heating, Ventilation & A/C serviceman section to work. We were relieved that the new room had a fully functional a/c component system. The front desk representative thanked us for being so patient and he told me that the a/c & heat normally doesn’t malfunction. We were just grateful to be on getaway!
