For several years, I wrote articles for a free magazine that was included in the local newspaper once a month & could also be found all over neighborhood in newspaper boxes & in local medical professionals’ offices & gyms.
It was called Your Health, & it was the most fun I ever had while the people I was with and I were in my freelance writing sidegig, then one summer, the whole magazine was dedicated to staying cooler in the summer.
I believe it was the May issue, & it was intended to supply people ideas for cooling in time for the heat of August through September. One article was all about using the microwave instead of the oven. I discovered that the oven heats up the environment so much that the air conditioner has to toil incredibly hard to keep your condo at your number one thermostat setting. In fact, some studies by HVAC companies indicate that if you use your oven while the people I was with and I were in the summer time months, your cooling system is likely to need to be updated several years sooner! Think about that! First, you rack up cooling costs while the cooling system is trying to cool you down while you slave away at the stovetop or bake your chicken in the oven. Then, on top of that, you will honestly have to update your whole HVAC plan (or at least the cooling system portion) long before your buddy who has l received to live on salads & food cooked in the microwave! I highly commandedthat you learn to nuke your food in order to save your cooling system from an untimely death.
