Last Thanksgiving I had a revelation you could say.
I was trying to figure out what I should be thankful for.
And when I really thought about it, other than being thankful that I had a job (which many are losing this day in age), the other thing i figured I would be thankful for was the fact that I had a central heating and air conditioning system in the house I am renting! In this area, many rental homes do not have central heating and air conditioning. It is an older neighborhood, and all of the houses were built way before central heating and air conditioning became the normal thing. And because these are rental homes, the cheap landlords would not invest in renovating the homes to be able to accept central heating and cooling! So most of these rental homes on the block are stuck with old and always breaking down gas furnaces and window air conditioning units. While my home has a pretty new and pretty up to date central heating and air conditioning system! My home is actually owned by a property management company instead of the private landlords that run things on most of this block. This is the main reason I have the luxury of a central heating and air conditioning system. They actually put the money into upgrading this old home and made it have the best indoor comfort anyone would imagine in an old rental home! I was really thankful because most of the time, property management companies are worse than private landlords!
