From heat to air conditioning in the same day.

I recently drove to a tropical location to visit our eldest daughter and her family; I couldn’t think the weather! I live in the south, but not in the tropical location our daughter lives in.

It was an eight hour drive and cold enough when I left to have the heating system on, back home and in the car; By the time I made it halfway there, I turned the heat off and rolled our windows down.

By the time I was close, I had the air conditioning running. But the weather didn’t stay overheated all the time, my first evening there, it was cold enough to run the heat and then, while in the day, it was overheated enough to run the air conditioning. I couldn’t think it! Every evening, the temperatures dropped to around 60, but the dampness made it believe colder. I guess it is damp from the humidity, or maybe there was a light drizzle overnight, every evening, but I found myself dismayed that first day. I didn’t think that there was any way that I would appreciate the water ski show all of us had planned to see that day, but, sure enough, our daughter was running the air conditioning by 10 AM. Granted, it wasn’t overheated yet, but it was warming up, and the air conditioning is useful in combating humidity. I have never lived in a locale love that, where you need the heating system every evening and the a/c while in the day, at least in winter. I never would have even thought a locale love that existed if I hadn’t seen it for myself.
