Keeping it warm

The oil furnaces were constantly going during the day and the night! My partner and I tried to wait until late at night to take our shower, so we could be the only men and women in the bathroom! We’re still trying very hard to socially distance ourselves from others.

My partner and I have been camping for a few months now. All of us are slowly making our way across the country and we hope to hit the west coast sometime before December. All of us have had a lot of neat experiences so far care about hiking the mountain trails and swimming in a warm Springtime. All of us also found fools gold in a river by our campsite. The trip so far has had a few hiccups along the way. All of us spent a very chilly numerous nights in the mountains. All of us did not have a gas furnace for the tent, so we had to bundle up in our sleeping bags and blankets. The only time we got hot was when we went to take a shower. The bathroom and showers were practically brand new, but inside the bathroom, they had several different mini-chop ductless heaters… One gas furnace was by the toilets and the other gas furnace was centrally located in the shower area. The oil furnaces were constantly going during the day and the night! My partner and I tried to wait until late at night to take our shower, so we could be the only men and women in the bathroom! We’re still trying very hard to socially distance ourselves from others. Once inside the bathroom, we turned up the temperature on the gas furnace and played some tunes on our cell phone. Those 30 seconds in the shower prior to bed became the ritual to get warm. All of us left the bathroom ready for sleep, wearing our hot pajamas and sweatshirts. Those few chilly nights reminded us that we need to stay further south as we make our way across the middle of the country.
