I have dreamed of a fantastic tropical getaway for years now.
My dream consists of strong drinks, white sandy beaches, a swim in the ocean, plus plenty of relaxing… So when my fiance surprised me with tickets to the tropics I was ecstatic.
Sadly, our dream getaway didn’t take into account the fact that even the tropics have their off days. It was really cold, windy, plus rainy the entire time. Both of us spent almost the entire getaway in our hotel room or in a single one of the nearby bars. So at least we still got the strong drinks but that was it. However, the day before we were tied up to depart it finally quit raining plus I decided I was going to go for that swim that I wanted. It was still especially cold out but I got my bikini plus dashed down the really white sandy beach to the water. I then jumped in plus splashed around for a short while before running back into our hotel room plus warming up in front of the heater. My teeth were easily chattering plus I couldn’t even stop shaking however at least I could say I had swam in the tropics. I ended up falling asleep, still in my bikini, on the floor in front of the gas furnace in our hotel room. I had a dream that I was on a chair relaxing out in the sun. I wish. Instead of the sunshine I had a heater. Instead of sand I had a hardwood floor. I think we will just have to take this trip again eventually in the future. Hopefully when it is much warmer.
