Bridal fitness class was the best part of the whole wedding experience

My best friend Katie is a bride in training.

Her ceremony has turned into the most time consuming, stressful and expensive nightmare imaginable.

Katie wants her bridal party involved in all sorts of things and never worries about expense. We were asked to purchase an extremely expensive gown, which then needed alterations. We bought matching shoes, hair pieces and jewelry. We have attended multiple bridal showers, bachelorette parties and went on special girls nights out. I have crafted millions of party favors and flower arrangements just for Katie. I swear it is like a full-time job. Being in the bridal party leaves no time for anything else. She even insisted we take dance lessons and bridal fitness classes. The personal training class was the only activity I was fine with spending money on. That was actually fun and beneficial. The personal trainer met with each of us individually and asked for our goals and concerns. Since the gown was strapless, I wanted to tone my arms and shoulders before the wedding. The personal trainer then developed an exercise plan that focused on upper body. We also participated in a group fitness training class as a bridal party. However, we all were given private nutrition counselling. It was actually fun to compete with the rest of the bridal party. We got to blow off steam. We were all equally frustrated with Katie. I would have preferred to spend more money on longer training sessions than shoes to match the dress. I would have liked to take additional nutritional programs instead of dance classes. The whole bridal party was really happy with the personal training.
