Using a plastic shield for an HVAC condenser during winter snowfalls

It seems as though I’m constantly now working toward Winter. The preparation list is almost year round for me. But that’s how it goes when you deal with the sort of Winter we do. It’s the sort of Winter where heating is at the top of my mind for sure. Our Winter is one of the toughest in our country in addition to lasts at least half the year. At least, that’s how long the gas furnace is running to keep us warm. And it’s not just the gas furnace we have to make sure is prepared to produce that reliable, quality heating in addition to air we’ve come to expect. Where I live, it’s absolutely necessary to have a great system B when it comes to heating. And for me, that system B requires nearly year round preparation. My alternative furnace is a wood stove. Initially, I had the wood stove installed for a back up if and when the power goes out. Or to keep the heating going if there is ever a sudden heating, ventilation as well as A/C breakdown in addition to the heating, ventilation as well as A/C professional can’t get to us due to snow in addition to weather. So Springtime, the warm season in addition to fall, is spent putting up a lot of firewood for the Winter. I now use the wood stove as supplemental heating to combat the high utility costs. However, there is another small preparation that is a sizable deal. And that would be making sure the air conditioner is covered while we are in the Winter. I have a molded plastic shell that fits right over the heating, ventilation as well as A/C cupboard next to our house. This keeps the weight of snow in addition to ice of the intricate, delicate parts inside the heating, ventilation as well as A/C cupboard in addition to protecting the a/c overall.
