My brother flew in to surprise us all last summer. He knew I was having a taxing time after the separation and I guess he wanted to be there for us; The last time we spoke, he was away attending some dealer conference all the way over on the other side of the country! I missed him, however I didn’t want to be too needy. I knew that he heard the strain in my voice, though, and so I was not surprised when he turned up at my door after his trip. Behind his suitcase were packages full of toys for the boys… Zinnia asked him where all that was going to fit as we embraced each other. The boys were really ecstatic with their gifts, and they took the teddy bears to their room to play with; Later on that night we had dinner together and then we all went to bed because we had plans for the next day. At around 3 am, my youngest child came into my room feeling hot and sweaty. That seemed odd since the A/C component was running. As I helped him get cooled off, his older brother came in sweaty too. I let them sleep in my bed then I made a mental note to check on the a/c in their room in the afternoon. They slept peacefully since there was ample cool air blowing into my room through the air vents; Every one of us woke up late the next afternoon and then I got tied up preparing supper. Then my brother and I went into the boys’ bedroom to inspect why they were so sweaty. It turned out that the kids had put all their large teddy bears in front of the air vent. This was blocking cool air from blowing into the room! .
