My boyfriend Vincent had something going on and I just knew it.
- Of course, I had known the guy since we were about four years old.
Of course, we didn’t start dating until we finished school and we were a little bit older but we’d been friends for a while. And it’s hard not to know someone after such a long time. But Vincent seemed a little distracted, as if he was planning to do something. Early one day in the summer, he woke me out of a sound sleep and & said we were going someplace. It was the weekend, & I had every intention of sleeping in. He tried to get me to get up but I wouldn’t do it until he told me why. He only told me that he had a surprise for me and I laughed a little since I’d suspected all along he was planning something. Then finally, I dragged myself out of my bed and took a quick shower. Then I got dressed & into the car. After a long drive, we pulled up in front of the nicest beach home I’d ever seen. Vincent had booked the location for a small summertime trip for us. The home was wonderful, & when we got inside, it wasn’t bad at all! Although it did feel a bit uncomfortable due to the high humidity. I felt sweat starting to drip down my back & I really wanted to get cool. Vincent went to the thermostat control unit to check and see if there was a dehumidifier option available on the indoor system, and lucky for us, there was. He turned it on and then an hour later the whole place felt great. All of the humidity was gone, thanks to the dehumidifier feature in the A/C system.
