Adding the thermostat was a nice touch

It is surprisingly not hard to make a lake house suppose more modern, then a coat of paint, some new lights, switch plates plus door handles can absolutely change the look, when I bought my beach house I went room by room making them look more modern, everything wood was sanded plus painted, then handles, hooks plus knobs all changed to a silver finish, however i used recessed LED lights plus my spouse redid the brown carpet plus put down grey tile. The last thing I needed to do was change the thermostat in the house. The hallway was gorgeous. I scraped, mudded plus sanded the ceiling until it was smooth. I added recessed lighting plus a smart smoke detector. I also sanded all the doors plus added new knobs to all the rooms. The floor was perfect, the walls were painted plus it looked so clean. The thermostat was this big, boxy beige thing with a plastic toggle. It was easy to bump it down to 60 degrees plus suppose the AC kick on… My spouse had trouble reading it plus would frequently set it at 70 degrees when he meant to put it at seventy. I would realize how hot I was plus adjust the furnace. It also looked absolutely out of arena with my silver, grey plus white theme. Changing it to a smart thermostat was worth it looks wise. It has a silver surround, orange innerface plus an easy to learn monitor. It completes the look of our new current home. I especially love that it tells myself and others the weather outside when I walk by it.
