The hotel clerk didn't know why the problem was occurring

I had to attend a seminar for work and I was already very unhappy about the three-hour drive to the destination.

I wanted to take a short flight, but my boss told me that I had to make that drive instead. I don’t prefer long drives in the car. It makes my eyes tired and sleepy. I barely have the ability to drive three hours before my eyes are very tired and ready for sleep. When I arrived at the hotel, I was ready for a shower and a comfortable bed. I took my bags up to the room and I set things up on the counter. I left to grab some dinner before all of the restaurants closed. When I came back from having steak, broccoli, and a baked potato, I decided to take a hot shower. I turned on the water in the shower, but it did not get hot. There was also only a small trickle of water. There was barely any pressure at all. I contacted the hotel clerk, and the woman actually came to my room to check on the problem. She did not have any idea why the problem was occurring and she did not have a maintenance staff person to handle the unique plumbing problem. She offered to move me to a different room with a working shower and hot water. I didn’t really want to move in the middle of the evening, so I was happy when the desk clerk found me a room on the same floor. I didn’t have much to move and I didn’t even have to use the stairs or the elevator.
