It took some getting used to living in the country

I used to be kind of annoyed when I first moved to the country.

  • It seemed like there was never anybody just walking around or hanging out and I missed my old friends.

All of them told me that I shouldn’t move, but I just wanted something different. Well, something different is exactly what I found. Suddenly, I was seeing cows, horses, and chickens everywhere! I was seeing cornfields, and various types of crops because I was surrounded by farmers. When I went to visit my neighbors, they actually had chickens running around the yard. At least, they were good about cleaning up the mess from the chickens and they said that I could come over and get eggs whenever I wanted. Well, I do enjoy a good omelet, so I did just that. Surprisingly, these eggs were the best I’ve ever had, way better than anything you can buy from the store. I never expected that and realized that I wanted to raise my own chickens as well. I ended up asking my neighbor how to set up a chicken coop. I asked if they needed some kind of HVAC system for heating and cooling. My neighbor laughed at me and said I just needed a special heater for the chicken coop for the winter. Also you need a heater bulb for the water so that it doesn’t freeze in the winter. Other than that, the chickens don’t need any cooling, they have their own built- in temperature control which is pretty cool. I guess the same goes for horses, but I’m not sure if I can handle those, at least not yet. I should at least learn how to ride a horse first.
