A heating technician with dance moves of a professional ballet dancer

The home services business I worked for as a heating technician holds the best end-of-year party.

That day started as a typical workday.

Sydney, my colleague had had some terrible luck repairing a gas fireplace. Turns out the retirement home needed more than that and she did not have some of the tools. I was installing a digital thermostat a few blocks from where she was when I got a call from her requesting that I drop by the place and lend her a hand. Turns out the new heating equipment we had installed two years ago needed a furnace/heater tune-up. When they had called the heating provider they had not mentioned that they would also need a heat pump service. The person who made the call was not aware that they had a dual fuel system which means it incorporated an electric heat pump. I also had to go there with a new furnace filter, they had not replaced it in five months. It was a miracle all the dirt had not affected the furnace. It would have been easier if they said they wanted an annual service plan but as a heating contractor she was there to help with any heating and cooling equipment that help with indoor comfort. Everything from there went smoothly with no more hitches. After this, we went and freshened up to attend the party that started later in the afternoon. Everyone was in high spirits and when people started dancing, that is when the party began. We formed a circle because people had moves like Jagger. Who knew Sydney was once a ballet dancer in the whole of grade school and she still had the moves.
