Responding to an HVAC service call

The home services company I worked for as a heating professional held the best end-of-year party.

That afternoon started as a typical workday, but Sydney, my colleague, had some bad luck repairing a gas fireplace.

Turns out the retirement home needed more than that and he did not have some of the tools, however I was actually installing a digital thermostat a few blocks from where he was when I got a call from him requesting that I drop by the place and lend him a hand. Turns out the new heating unit the two of us had installed more than one years ago needed a furnace/heater tune-up, then when they had called the heating provider they had not mentioned that they would also need a heat pump service… The guy who made the call was not aware that they had a dual fuel plan which means it incorporated an electric heat pump. I also had to go there with a new furnace filter, they had not updated it in several weeks at least. It was a miracle all the dirt had not affected the furnace. It would have been easier if they said they wanted an annual service proposal but as a heating contractor he was there to help with any heating and cooling unit that helps with indoor comfort… However, everything from there went smoothly with no more hitches, however after this, the two of us made the choice to go and freshened up to attend the party that started later in the afternoon. Everyone was in high spirits and when people started dancing, that is when the party began. Every one of us formed a circle because people had moves similar to Jagger. Who knew Sydney was once a ballet dancer in the whole university and he still had the moves.
