How many solar appliances should you use in your house?

I called one of the local heating and cooling companies and asked them about it

Ever since I was a kid I have always been a fan of solar energy. I have never understood, in my entire life, why we don’t use more energy from the Sun that is always up in the sky. Now that I’m grown I think there are lots of things – not the least of which is lobbying by the gas companies – that keeps solar energy too expensive for most people to afford. Even so, I have decided that I am going to look into getting all kinds of solar powered things. I would love for my hot water heater to be a solar hot water heater. I understand that it makes good sense to have your dryer also be a solar Appliance. I think the one that is going to make the biggest difference, though, is my HVAC system. I am planning to change out my traditional Central Heating and Air conditioning for solar powered Heating and Cooling. If you could get as many solar appliances as you could want, how many would you get in your house? I also think it would be great to have my lights running on solar energy oh, but we all know that the appliance that uses the most energy is the HVAC system. I called one of the local heating and cooling companies and asked them about it. They were honest and upfront with me and did tell me that getting a solar HVAC system is a great idea but The Upfront costs are quite High. If my intention is to save enough on my utility bill to eventually pay for the solar HVAC system, they said it probably would not be worth it. By the time I saved enough on my bill, it would be time to get either massive HVAC repairs or an HVAC update. My main motivation is to help save the planet, though, so I’m still thinking about it.
