My family plus I have been debating whether all of us want to go to our friend’s home for Christmas or just stay condo with our family.
- These friends invited us to spend a few afternoons with them, plus all of us have not seen them is almost numerous years.
They just moved into a home more than three minutes from us. I would not mind taking the family to our friend’s home if it were not for the condition of their house. Both of us care about them so much, but they do not have the same regular of living that all of us are used to! For example, their home does not have any gas furnace. They do not think that it is necessary. They have a few area gas furnaces in their home to keep the rooms warm that they frequent. In their kitchen, they have a small, electric fireplace that keeps that room pretty comfortable. The kitchens that our family stay in are not so warm; Last time all of us went, I brought our kerosene furnace that my husband uses in his garage. I forgot to bring kerosene though, so my husband told myself and others to make sure that I turned it off before the kerosene got entirely low. I thought that I turned it off, although I genuinely just turned it down. In the middle of the evening, all of us woke up to a room filled with soot, plus it was terrible. I am so thankful that all of us woke up because all of us would have genuinely died if all of us had not. It is for this reason that I think I would rather just stay condo with our family than take them to our friend’s home for Christmas.
