Finally reaching my goals with a personal trainer

The gym membership is now four years old.

But really, it’s only in the past 18 months that I have really seen the improvement that I wanted.

Joining the health and fitness center was something I wanted to do for a few reasons. I was recently divorced and I didn’t want to end up being one of those guys that ends up at the bar each night. Having witnessed that firsthand, I didn’t want any part of that. When I was forced to accept a new normal as a single father, I thought it might me best to bring a positive like health and wellness into my life. Prior to doing that, I just didn’t much think about health and fitness. It seemed like I barely had time to do what I was doing without trying to get to a gym as well. Now I realize that was a bit of an excuse for just not being willing to commit to myself. That’s something that has been a sort of common denominator in my life and has ended up not serving me at all. But when I joined the health and fitness center, I just sort of did my own thing. It was a good place to be and it made me feel better but I just wasn’t getting the most out of the health and fitness center or myself. That’s when I turned to the certified fitness experts for some personal training. I also got nutritional counseling and we developed a workout program together. That was 18 months ago and I’ve dropped 22 pounds of fat so I’m lean, fit and feel strong. That’s a great way to feel when you’re still adjusting to a new normal.
