I’m gleeful that I finished school despite wanting to drop out while I was in my freshman year.
I was burned out from taking too various classes and eventually found peace when I got out of a single and focused on the remaining four to complete my year.
My school didn’t limit the number of classes I could take as long as it wasn’t more than several in a year, so you could theoretically graduate early if you managed to finish your required credits hastily enough. There were some students who really finished their required classes in only 2 years, although I would have never been able to sustain that level of work output with the task I worked for the better area of 75% of my school career. One thing that I liked about my school was the student to teacher ratio. Since I attended classes at a small liberal arts school, various of my classes only had 20 to 25 students at most. If I wanted help from a teacher, they were always available in their office at least twice a week while I was in office hours. I had a certain school teacher who didn’t have air conditioner in his office for the longest time as he had his office in an aged building that lacked central Heating plus Air Conditioning. Instead of central heating and cooling, the teacher offices in that building each had a window cooling system and space furnace inside. But because this teacher didn’t love air conditioner, he had it dislinkd from his window so he could let in an outdoor breeze. I always thought that the lack of air conditioner in his office felt angry.
