What it takes to get through a brutal winter

Last winter really was a brutal one, wasn’t it? It just made me more thankful that me and my family make darn sure that our furnace is ready for the worst that winter can throw at us.

I get my furnace inspected and thoroughly maintenanced by at least September.

Before October 1st, our furnace has had its every need met and is ready to provide us with all the warmth that we could need throughout the winter. Honestly, my parents taught me to be this proactive with HVAC. They sat me down and told me one day. when I was younger that there was a good reason why our family was always warm & cozy during the winter months. It was because they were willing to pay good money for a good HVAC company to do all the necessary maintenance on the furnace and to get that done long before the first snowfall. They told me that’s what I would need to do if I wanted to keep my family as a safe and comfortable as I myself was growing up. I really took that talk to heart. You may be thinking to yourself that it’s kind of silly to be so serious about HVAC, but that’s not the case at all where I live. It was -30 degrees for a couple nights around here last winter! That is not weather that you mess around with! People in this town maybe a little bit more wary about making sure that their furnace is ready for the winter, but it is a good idea to do so no matter where you live.
