Having a cat can be both a good and a bad thing.
They can be your best friends of course is one of the great things about cats, and they act as good pest control.
But I am only going to talk about one of those bad things right now. If you have a central HVAC system, you have air filters. And if you have a cat, cats shed all the time, and that fur and hair gets into the air, and it also gets into your air filter of your central HVAC system! I had the air filter of my central HVAC system get clogged up just last week cause of a build up of cat hair from my cat. I usually change my air filter once every 2 months. But, because my cat must have been shedding more than usual, it clogged my air filter early! I had to change it a month later after the last air filter change I did. I can’t hate my cat for this, as it is only natural. But all I am saying here, is that if you have a cat, and you have a central HVAC system where the air filter shoot is in the living areas of your house, you will need to keep a closer watch on that air filter. Washable air filters may be a good rout to go for you if you have this issue like I do. I didn’t go with those because my local HVAC supplier doesn’t carry them. I may order some on the internet actually, cause this gets to be expensive!
