I have a cat that’s really spoiled.
- He absolutely loves the air conditioning system.
He’s a really smart cat too because he’s learned when he wants the air conditioning system turned on if he thinks it’s too hot in the house. You want to know what’s crazy? My cat and I have the same temperature preferences! I mean I don’t know for sure I can’t ask him what exact degree he likes the temperature down to. But I’ve noticed that he seems happiest when I have the temperature set in the house to 75 degrees, which also happens to be about my perfect temperature as well. So there was this one time that it was hot outside and I was starting to sweat due to the heat. My cat had come over to me and he looked at me and he was uncomfortable and he was panting like he was hot. He looked at me and then looked at the thermostat and meowed at me. Just once. One simple, very polite meow. It was as if he was asking me to turn on the air conditioning system for him. So I said to him I know buddy I’m hot too. Then I went over there and turned on the air conditioning system. As soon as I did he came over and laid on my lap and he started purring. We both felt better as we enjoyed the cool air of the AC unit. I would never think that something like air conditioning would be something my cat and I would bond over but that was exactly what was happening. The two of us have always had an appreciation for good indoor air.
