I was pretty lucky when I went looking for an old dial thermostat and found one that was brand new! This is the kind of thing you can find online if you search hard enough.
I was thinking that I was going to have to buy a used dial thermostat for my central heating and air conditioning system.
But finding this brand new one was a real treat. I wanted to get a dial thermostat because I really do not like the way smart thermostats are today. I also do not care for digital thermostats either. So I thought that I would just go back to the basics of the old school the way I grew up. Since most thermostats, no matter how old, can work with any central heating and air conditioning system, I figured that the old dial thermostat would be the perfect solution to my issues that I have with most modern thermostats. I was able to install the dial thermostat myself without the help of the local heating and air conditioning company. This was a good thing because I really did not want to pay a few hundred bucks for heating and air conditioning home services just to install a simple old dial thermostat. Plus I bet the heating and air conditioning company would have tried to talk me into going with modern thermostats as well to make a sale. I just did not want to deal with all of this. So I installed the dial thermostat myself and all was well.
