I can not believe myself sometimes.
- I can be so careless with things and not pay attention.
And as a result, things can get broken. This is what happened quite recently with the cover of my thermostat! I was nailing up some pictures on the wall in the hallway right where the thermostat is. And by not paying attention to what was around me and what I was doing, I smashed the cover of the thermostat and it shattered all over the place. Boy was I so mad at myself for this! Granted, thermostat covers are dirt cheap. But that is not the point. It is the point that I smashed the thermostat cover with a hammer in the first place and I did not have to do that. Had I only been paying attention I would not have smashed it. I guess it could have been worse. I mean I could have smashed beyond the thermostat cover and actually shattered the entire thermostat! If that had happened, I would have not had any working heating or air conditioning. And with the weather getting very hot now I can not live without air conditioning. Air conditioning is a much needed commodity in my home in order to deal with these super hot days. And if your thermostat breaks, your central heating and air conditioning system unit also stops working and you have to get a replacement thermostat right away in order to get the central heating and air conditioning system unit back up and running as well!
