I just had a little visit with the dentist after like three years of not going at all.
They told me I need to come in every six months for a deep cleaning because my gums are receding a bit, well more than a bit I would have to say.
Anyway, I did a bunch of editing yesterday and we have four new additions to our song list now, which brings a total of 28 songs and a whole bunch of my old stand up comedy sets as a bonus. I quit doing standup in the local businesses about four years ago after not feeling the craft anymore, at which point I thought my dreams of chasing the arts were finished and I would have to go back to HVAC tech work full time. But from out of nowhere came a guitar player one day and we joined up to make a band and some pretty wild sounding music. We both work in the HVAC systems field doing writing work and are happy that we can do this and still have time to practice our songs each week. We will play again tomorrow and try to make some more new songs and keep inching closer to our goal of having 50 songs by the end of the year. The heating and cooling equipment work is great because it takes pressure off of us performing as we don’t have to worry about making money doing it. We still make some money doing sets but it is just extra spending money as far as I am concerned. It helped me buy my mini split a/c system for my bedroom last month.
