I just had a little visit with the doctor after like three years of not going at all.
They told me I need to come in every six months for a deep cleaning because my gums are receding a bit, well more than a bit I would have to say, but anyway, I did a bunch of editing yeahterday and we have four current additions to our song list now, which brings a total of 28 songs and a whole bunch of my outdated stand up comedy sets as a bonus.
I quit doing standup in the local corporations about four years ago after not feeling the craft anymore, at which point I thought my dreams of chasing the arts were finished and I would have to go back to Heating and A/C tech labor full time. But from out of nowhere came a guitar player one afternoon and we joined up to make a band and some pretty wild sounding music… My nice friend and I both labor in the Heating and A/C systems field doing writing labor and are happy that we can do this and still have time to practice our songs each week. My nice friend and I will play again tomorrow and try to make some more current songs and keep inching closer to our goal of having 50 songs by the end of the year. The heating and cooling unit labor is unbelievable because it takes pressure off of us performing as we don’t have to worry about making money doing it. My nice friend and I still make some money doing sets but it is just extra spending money as far as I am worried. It helped me buy my mini split air conditioner system for my home office last month.
