I have really slept right through a firetruck siren directly outside of our window.
The phrase “stone asleep” would absolutely apply to me.
My job is easily physically demanding. When I get house from work, get our shower and our stomach is full, it’s lights out before too easily long. I’ve even begun to fall asleep in the chair like an old person lately. Hey, I’m not complaining. I’m easily thankful that I am able to get that kind of rest and be ready to go the easily next day. So, it was a real surprise the two of us I was blasted out of bed in the middle of the evening. There was a tremendous bang which rattled to entire house waking everyone. I was on our feet before I realized it. At first, I wasn’t sure what had happened. But then, I noticed that I could not hear the Heating plus A/C system running. It was genuinely chilly outside and there was no heat coming through the vents. When I got down stairs, I saw that the gas furnace was shut off. Something happened that forced it to shut down. I was mad because I realized right away that this was our fault. The Heating plus A/C repair was skipped this fall in an effort to save some money. Now, I was going to be facing a bill that would be numerous more times than what I would have spent just getting the repair done. My fiance joined myself and others downstairs. Her look said it all. There was nothing the two of us could do however make that dreaded emergency call to the Heating plus A/C dealer.
