Living in the south when it gets cold

I live in a southern part of the country.

We don’t normally get cold weather, but during January and February the temperature does drop.

Normally, when my area does have cold weather people don’t know how to handle it at all. It can be sixty-five degrees outside and everyone is wearing giant coats and boots. It is pretty funny because you would think that at this point the cold weather wouldn’t shock everyone. Once the weather drops below seventy degrees I know that everyone in the town turns on their heating system. For the most part, living in the south doesn’t require a heating system at all. However, for these few weeks it is nice to keep your house warm with some type of heating system. I don’t have a heating system in my house because I don’t want to have to pay for maintenance. I make sure that I have enough space heaters to warm up every room in my house incase it gets cold outside. The space heaters work really well and they can heat up a room in less than thrill minutes if you have the door closed. I think that using space heaters is the most cost effective way to warm up you house, but not everyone thinks that. I know some of my friends rely on their central heating system to stay warm during the winter months. I don’t think that I will ever get a central heating system in my house because they are too much to deal with and I hope that my space heaters last for a while.
