I really hate debt

I hate debt a lot.

I will do anything that it takes to avoid acquiring debt.

However, sometimes life happens, and you have no way of avoiding debt. When my furnace stopped working last winter, I knew that something really bad had just happened. Everything seemed normal beforehand. It was a colder night than usual, but our furnace had never failed to keep us warm. Sure, we had had to call an HVAC technician every once in a while to keep it running, but overall, it was a very low-maintenance HVAC unit. However, I woke up in the middle of the night to what sounded like screaming. The furnace was making a terrible noise, and no warm air was coming out of the vents. After that, it wouldn’t even light the fire in the combustion chamber. I called the HVAC technician, and when he came over to look at my furnace, he shook his head like he had really bad news. That was when he told us that our furnace was no longer worth it. He could repair it, but in the long run, it would be cheaper to purchase a new furnace than to get this furnace working again. I had no money to fix this furnace or purchase a new one. The HVAC technician told me about their plan for furnace installation. They could give me my furnace now, and I would be on a payment plan for my furnace. I hated debt, but having no furnace was definitely not an option. Now, I am a few thousands of dollars in debt, but at least I have a furnace. I am budgeting like crazy and selling all of my unnecessary things to get rid of my furnace payments. I hate debt!
