Changing the recliner for my fifth avenue style

When my husband and I moved into our home I was disgusted by the fact that the homeowner left a bunch of stuff behind.

She left end tables, a huge light up cabinet, an old desk chair, paint cans, and the worst of them all, a recliner.

It was a hideous beige and a power recline. My husband just loves that recliner. He wouldn’t let me throw it out. He constantly was moving it around the house and finding the right spot to plug it in. He chose the living room right by the front door. It is the first thing you see. I bought a brand new couch, ottoman and living room rug when we moved. The living room looked so amazingly fresh and clean. My black couch and white ottoman looked awesome. My light pink and white rug provided a dash of color. The beige recliner clashed badly. It needed to be dark like the rest of the future. I started looking for upholstery and that is how I found this interior design and custom furniture company. They hooked me up with a great print that makes the chair pop and hides the fact it is an ugly power recline. I also got pillows and curtains from them. They said I had a fifth avenue style going on in my house. They helped me achieve that design with a few custom touches. Now my living room looks like a magazine. Am I happy with the power recliner? No, but it does blend now and the rest of the living room is so good you hardly notice it.
