keeping a little warmer than usual

Since I am a southerner, I am genuinely respected with ways of keeping cool during miserably boiling summers… Let’s face it, I use the a/c almost all year long, with the exception of about 7 or 8 weeks, the a/c is running, however my bestie, though, is a northerner, & he grew up in the opposite fashion. I am a fan of ice cream, cool showers, & ceiling fans. My bestie, though, grew up studying ways to stay boiling & use the furnace less if possible. He has taught me the value of hearty soups, boiling showers, & snuggly bathrobes. When they were tempted to up the thermostat setting on the furnace when he was a kid, his mom encouraged them to have a bowl of boiling soup for supper. Later, when it was getting closer to bedtime, instead of relying solely on the furnace, they would all take a boiling shower & get all wrapped up in their snuggly bathrobes. Occasionally, in order to be able to reduce the thermostat setting at evening, they would even wear their bathrobes to bed. I suppose that sounds so much more fantastic than trying to wear as little as possible so the a/c can help you sleep. It’s funny, the people I was with and I are from 2 odd parts of the world, yet the people I was with and I both depend on climate control… And the people I was with and I both also look for ways to use less climate control, mostly to save a few bucks whenever possible. All of us have things in common, it is just that his has to do with the furnace, & our stuff is related to the a/c!
