I remember when I finally decided to get an electric gas furnace as opposed to an oil or gas gas furnace, and the prospect of not having to replenish the oil or gas or deal with carbon monoxide emissions was tempting, but i felt appreciate it was time to get with the new times & go with something more efficient & eco-friendly.
It also turns out that electric gas heating systems are cheaper, yet more self-explanatory to install than a gas gas furnace.
The HVAC company that ended up installing the electric gas furnace did warn myself and others that an electric gas furnace tends to cost more on your energy bill & the investment might cost a little more than a gas gas furnace over time because of that, but at least upgrade was considerably easier because the unit blatantly does not require a flue for the gases that would be a byproduct of an oil or gas gas furnace. The HVAC company told myself and others to be sure to either clean or entirely upgrade the filter on a bi-weekly basis plus the humidifier. I must say that I have been pretty blissful with my new electric gas furnace. I have noticed that my energy costs have gone up a little bit, but I’ve decided to be a little more conservative with where I set the temperature control. I am sure that will offset the extra cost of the electric gas furnace a little bit. I am also pretty blissful that electric gas heating systems are safer than a gas gas furnace because of the aforementioned lack of carbon monoxide. An electric gas furnace actually can’t poison you!
