I have a hard time believing that it only a couple months away from Christmas.
It wasn’t until I was looking at the Farmer’s Almanac that I realized that the years is more than half over already.
The Farmer’s Almanac was giving its yearly prediction for how the winter is going to be this year. It is calling for cold and frigid. I had to laugh because in this part of the country, it is always cold and frigid in the winter. My husband and I were discussing what we were going to do for the annual Christmas party. I knew that the first thing we had to do was to have the chimney cleaned for the fireplace. It seems that if the fireplace is burning when the guests arrive, they are all disappointed. No one notices the Christmas tree if I forget to have it lit, but they all notice the fireplace. The fireplace lends a cheerfulness to the celebration that makes everyone happy. Once we have called the chimney sweep, I think we need to call the HvAC company and make sure our furnace is cleaned I also need to look at my calendar a bit more closely. I believe that it may also be that I need to have the ductwork cleaned and sanitized. I know I still have three months to worry about the Christmas party, but I have things to think about in between. We have the State Fair which I contribute to, then there is Halloween and Thanksgiving, which is one of my favorite holidays. The next three months are going to fly by quicker than the last eight months.
