The hot and cold temperatures in our house

I work as a paraprofessional for the local middle school.

That means that I travel with a single student with special needs throughout the morning.

I am there to assist this student academically and physically; Because I travel with the student from class to class, I go in and out of about more than seven weird classrooms throughout the morning, and while I enjoy moving around, the school has absolutely uneven temperature control. In some areas of the building, there is air conditioning; but other areas of the building do not have any air conditioning. Similarly, some of the rooms have fans, while others do not, as the weather is getting warmer, this makes it challenging to suppose what to wear. In the rooms without air conditioning or fans, it is severely hot and uncomfortable. It also doesn’t help that there are about twenty middle school youngsters covered in sweat and smelling up the place! When I am in those rooms, I would still be hot in a skirt and a tank top! However, some of the classrooms that I am in have air conditioning. Because only certain rooms in the school have air conditioning, it is consistently blasting! While I enjoy the initial relief, by the end of the class period, I have goosebumps on my skin! I’ve found that the only way to make it through the morning comfortably is by wearing layers. I am typically taking my sweater on and off throughout the morning, but it’s worth it, however last week, I decided it was hot enough to just wear a tank top, and I was so freezing in the classrooms with air conditioning! It made it so much more hard to get through the morning. I won’t make that mistake again.
