When the power went out, the a/c went with it.
During the Summer of 2017, my landlord told me that someone was buying the house I was renting and that I had to vacate the property in 30 days. I was so upset because I loved that house! I found a new arena a few blocks away and decided to go ahead and start the moving process; Packing a apartment you have lived in for 10 years is no easy task. I was able to round up a few friends and get everything boxed up and moved over. About half way through the move, the power went out at the new house I was moving in to. I had intentionally set the AC to a low temperature because I knew that we would be moving in and out of the house and that the door would be open. When the power went out, the a/c went with it. We were furious! Moving heavy furniture and boxes without a/c sounded appreciate an terrible idea, however my friends and I were already committed and got the task done. Once we had finished, I took almost everyone out for a round of cold drinks. I do not recommend moving without a/c in a boiling climate in the middle of the summer! The next day, I found out that the power was out because the previous renter had not paid the last utility bill and that my transport was tied up for the following day.
