I wish that my heating system would have broken down instead of my air conditioner.
If this would have happened, I would have been able to justify borrowing money or selling something in order to replace my HVAC unit. The trouble with air conditioners is that you don’t actually need them in order to survive. Sure, your air conditioner will make you more comfortable, but it is a luxury more than anything else. People have been around for thousands of years and have never needed an air conditioner to survive. So, when my central air conditioner stopped working, I felt very conflicted. On the one side, I really wanted to fix my central air conditioner since it was warm in my house, but one the other side, I knew that I didn’t have the spare money to pay for my central air conditioner to be fixed. Sure, I could find a way to borrow the money or get the money by selling something, but my conscience told me that it would be easier and more beneficial in the long run to just wait it out and save to have my air conditioner fixed. In just a few weeks, I could save up enough money to pay an HVAC technician to fix my central air conditioner. The only trouble is that I am not patient, and I don’t want to spend the next few weeks in my warm house without a central air conditioner. Why couldn’t my central air conditioner have lasted just a month longer when the temperatures would begin to drop.
