I can’t give up my a/c

I was gleeful at the prospect of a decreased electric bill plus the youngsters felt fantastic over their efforts to save the planet! By about 2:00 p.m.

Climate change is a hot topic. We all know that climate changes from time to time. A lot of people don’t know what is causing global warming. Is it caused by man or other forces of nature? Is the planet warming or cooling? If we do nothing, are we going to perish in 10 years or simply go on our merry way as always? I feel that climate is controlled by the alignment of the planets. Nothing we do is going to change that. My youngsters beg to differ. They watched a few documentaries and videos online. Basically everything told them that we are doomed unless we make the choice to go back to the stone ages before the times of fossil fuels. The kids begged me to turn off the AC, open the windows plus let the natural breeze keep us cool. The first day was quite nice. There was no noise of the a/c going, only the hum of the fans. The outside air was sweetened by the rainfall. The wet air quality also kept it quite cool in the house. We slept peacefully with the night sounds of crickets, and trees rustling in the gentle wind. I was gleeful at the prospect of a decreased electric bill plus the youngsters felt fantastic over their efforts to save the planet! By about 2:00 p.m. the next day it was around 90 degrees. It was just not possible to go without a/c. So I am not saving the planet. I still run my a/c system when I am hot.
